About Bitsum
Bitsum Technologies is an independent software development company, founded in Tennessee by Jeremy Collake, our principal software engineer. We build novel solutions to software performance and automation challenges, mostly for Windows.
What We Make
Most of what we build helps Windows run the way you want it to, from real-time CPU optimization to core parking and hybrid CPU scheduling.
Real-time CPU optimization and automation. Keep your PC responsive during high CPU loads and automate process settings with rules. Process Lasso has been in continuous development since 2003.
Display and tweak CPU core parking settings in real time, with complementary power automation features.
Earlier Work
Alongside our Windows performance software, we’ve worked on executable compression and embedded systems.
Executable Compression
One of the original Windows executable compressors, with plug-ins for loaders, API hooks and CODECs.
Embedded Systems
We documented the firmware format of the WRT54G and WRT54GS v5-v6 routers and wrote open source tools to build compatible images, so third-party Linux firmware could be flashed on them for the first time.
Embedded Systems
Extracts, modifies and rebuilds some types of embedded firmware images.
How We Work
Most of our software is developed in C++ for the Windows platform.
When possible, our solutions are open-sourced and liberally licensed. See our GitHub profile.
All our installers are signed by “Bitsum Technologies (Bitsum LLC)”.
It is with the support of our customers that we have thrived since 2002.
